Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen (APJ) Abdul Kalam, lives in the heart of every Indian, a great scientist who is known for his great inventions, was the 11th honorable President of India. He collapsed while addressing a young crowd, he breathed his last at the age of 83.
Dr. Abul Kalam was born in a modest setup of a Muslim household in the rural lands of TamilNadu. As a young boy he used to sell the newspaper to support his family, later he took oath for the highest office of the country. He reached great heights, not through the conventional way of taking entry through politics but through his great inventions and hard work serving the government office as a scientist helped him reach there.
He is known as “Missile Man” of India, as he was a rocket scientist who rose to eminence as the head office of the country’s prosperous civilian space along with missile defense projects. He was an uncompromisable candidate for the position of President, and in a very short span he turned out to be the highly prominent occupant of the esteemed post. He overlooked the traditional ceremonial role to interact with the common man, especially the young people. He is a true inspiration for every Indian. Till his last breath, he was talking about utilizing the energy in the best possible way to do something for the nation.
There are a number of incidences which shows his simplicity towards life, while he waited patiently for a bus, enjoying breakfast at his cherished teashop, interacting with individuals from backgrounds as modest as he had outgrown. As he carries such persona of being humble and polite with anyone and everyone, he had the capability to bond with people throughout the boundaries of all class, religion, region or age. His life and his works are the models for each fellow Indian and his work and efforts showed the best of what India can be. Before, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, India never had a president whom the country adored so much. Talking till the very moment of death, he left the country in the mid-speech, it seems he had still had something to tell us.
